Then there’s the fact that with these strategies, they seem to be taking a lot of time to implement and they go against all the priorities of “normals.” What else have they been telling us all our lives that this is what we need? We have our problems, so it seems that it’s just going to take us time to figure out how to deal with them.

We have to talk and work out all the things we may be working against, and we have to realize that sometimes, even with all the hard work that we need to do, we may actually be doing better when we take a little break from many of these things. While detoxing is healthy and necessary, there is an argument for why the very process of going cold turkey is not as beneficial as we think it is. Despite the fact that it may do a lot for things inside the body and mind, going without caffeine for a few days makes you feel ill and tired the next day.
